Un'insegnante di asilo, Jenny, e il suo ragazzo Steve, scappano insieme per un romantico weekend sul lago. La situazione è perfetta: il lago è isolato dalla confusione e circondato dal bosco. Un gruppo do ragazzini, però, arriva a rovinare l'idillio vandalizzando l'auto della coppia e lasciandoli a piedi. Nel confrontarsi col gruppetto di teppisti, Steve sta male e Jenny è costretta a scappar in città in cerca di aiuto. Nel superare il bosco, sarà forzata in un inseguimento cane-gatto tra gli alberi dalla gang di ragazzini, fintanto che, esausta e distrutta, in città si scontrerà con i genitori stessi dei ragazzi che hanno causato il suo incubo...
