Londra, 1984. La Thatcher è al potere e il sindacato dei Minatori è insciopero contro i tagli imposti. Durante il Gay Pride, un gruppo di attivisti decide di sposare la causa dei minatori, ma il sindacato è imbarazzato da questo supporto. Il gruppo non si scoraggia edecide di andare in uno sperduto paesino del Galles a consegnare direttamente ai minatori la propria donazione. Riusciranno due mondi così apparentemente diversi a dialogare?
