Nel suo album "Winter", l\'arpista Lavinia Meijer combina composizioni di Max Richter, Philip Glass e Nils Frahm, tra gli altri, per raccontare una storia su questa stagione unica e su come viene cambiata dalla catastrofe climatica. L\'album contiene anche due composizioni di Lavinia Meijer e collaborazioni con la violinista Nadia Sirota, l\'ensemble vocale Wishful Singing e il Quartetto Alma.
Lavinia Meijer ha sviluppato il concetto di "Winter" basandosi sul brano "Open Window", che aveva già scritto durante la produzione del precedente album "Are You Still Somewhere?" nell\'inverno 2020. Ha associato direttamente il "freddo" dell\'isolamento dovuto alla pandemia e la conseguente alienazione nella società con la stagione e gli effetti del cambiamento climatico sulla natura. Di conseguenza, ha iniziato a ricercare e raccogliere opere sul tema. Il risultato è stato un totale di 18 opere.
