Nonesuch pubblica il nuovo album di Steve Reich dedicato a due delle sue ultime composizioni: Pulse e Quartet. Pulse (del 2015) viene eseguita dallInternational Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) un collettivo di artisti impegnati a trasformare il modo in cui la musica viene creata e fruita e Quartet (del 2013) eseguita dal Colin Currie Group, un ensemble guidato dal percussionista Colin Currie specializzato nella musica di Steve Reich; entrambe queste formazioni musicali sono state protagoniste delle prime esecuzioni assolute di queste composizioni.Reich says, "Pulse, per fiati, archi, pianoforte e basso elettrico, è stata completata nel 2015 ed era, in parte, una reazione a Quartet, lavoro nel quale ho cambiato tonalità più frequentemente che in qualsiasi precedente composizione."
