Questo album riunisce le registrazioni in prima mondiale di tre concerti per pianoforte e orchestra esteticamente diversificati, scritti per Alexandre Tharaud. Sono Left, solo del danese Hans Abrahamsen (1952), Future è una canzone sbiadita del francese Gérard Pesson (1958) e Kuleshov del francese Oscar Strasnoy (1970). Strasnoy ha detto che il suo concerto è stato "ispirato dal fraseggio unico e inimitabile di Alexandre Tharaud e dalla chiarezza di esecuzione". Senza dubbio queste parole potrebbero valere per tutte e tre le opere dell'album.
