Quando Magnus Pelander ha fondato i Witchcraft nel 2000 il suo unico desiderio era registrare un brano in tributo ai suoi idoli Roky Erickson e Bobby Liebling (Pentagram). Si è dovuto attendere il 2002 per la pubblicazione del primo singolo No Angel Or Demon, seguito nel 2004, dallalbum di debutto Witchcraft. Utilizzando la stessa strumentazione vintage e il caratteristico timbro vocale di Pelander, i Witchcraft hanno pubblicato altri tre album -Firewood (2005), The Alchemist (2007) e Legend (2012) raggiungendo lo stato di band più rappresentativa del filone psychedelic/classic rock svedese.
