La caraibica isola di Cascara, a lungo ignorata dal governo britannico sebbene sua colonia da tempo, entra prepotentemente nell'occhio del ciclone quando un pozzo di petrolio abbandonato si mette a rigurgitare una straordinaria acqua minerale.
