Marco è un etologo che studia il comportamento degli animali nei boschi piazzando delle telecamere per documentare il loro comportamento. Un giorno le sue registrazioni lo portano in un remoto villaggio abbandonato, dove scopre inquietanti segnali che rimandano ad un misterioso passato. La pioggia ha interrotto l'unica via di fuga dalla zona, innalzando il livello del fiume che Marco aveva precedentemente guadato. Marco è quindi intrappolato, e probabilmente non da solo, in un villaggio fantasma....
