Tanjiro e il suo gruppo hanno completato la riabilitazione presso la Villa delle Farfalle quando un corvo del legame annuncia loro la prossima missione, devono raggiungere il treno Mugen, dove oltre 40 persone sembrano essere scomparse in un brevissimo periodo di tempo. Tanjiro e Nezuko, insieme a Zenitsu e Inosuke, si uniscono a uno dei più potenti spadaccini della squadra ammazzademoni, il Pilastro delle Fiamme Rengoku Kyojuro. Il gruppo si troverà ad affrontare il demone a bordo del treno Mugen, lanciato a folle velocità sui binari della disperazione più assoluta precipitando così in un sogno infinito.
