Ned (Liev Schreiber) è nel pieno di una crisi di mezz’età. Il suo lavoro come sceneggiatore di un tv- show gli dà poca soddisfazione, il figlio quindicenne rivela la sua omosessualità, l’altra figlia di undici anni è spaventata praticamente da tutto.
