Frustrazione
Dopo tre anni di catalessi, causata dalla morte dell'amatissima moglie Victoria, il dottor Phibes prepara una spedizione in Egitto alla ricerca del fiume della vita, nascosto nella tomba di un faraone. Lo stesso obiettivo lo ha Darius Baiderbeck, che da secoli sopravvive grazie a un elisir in via di esaurimento. Alla tomba del faraone uno chiede la propria sopravvivenza e l'altro la risurrezione della moglie. Lo scontro è inevitabile, ma Phibes stavolta è deciso a spuntarla.
