Nel West una banda d'avventurieri rapina la banca di un villaggio di cercatori d'oro. Tra i malviventi c'è anche una donna, Cheyenne, che viene ferita ad un braccio durante la fuga. La raccoglie Frank Cordell, un allevatore di bestiame che la cura e la spinge a costituirsi per pagare il suo debito con la giustizia e iniziare una nuova vita.
