Mentre lo sceneggiatore cinematografico Richard Benson trascorreva le due ultime settimane a bere cocktails bloody mary, il produttore Meyerheim attendeva impazientemente il copione del suo prossimo film "La ragazza che rubò la Torre Eiffel". Sollecitato dal produttore, Benson deve terminare il copione al più presto: ha solo due giorni di tempo. Perciò assume una segretaria affinché lo aiuti nell'ideare situazioni, dialoghi, sviluppi. Fra i due scatta anche l'amore.
