Fanatico di fumetti, il timido liceale Dave decide di diventare un super-eroe di nome Kick-Ass. Ben presto si rende conto che è un lavoraccio: si rischia di essere feriti e la vita da vigilante è davvero complicata. Poi un suo “amico” prepara l’auto in stile batmobile e lo vuol aiutare. Nel frattempo Dave incontra una bislacca coppia di vendicatori formata da un padre e da una figlia undicenne, che lo trascinano in una vera battaglia contro il crimine. Sofisticato, colorato, pop, il film è il riuscito adattamento della graphic novel di culto firmata da Mark Millar.
