Lo scienziato pazzo Carl Stoner inventa un siero per trasformare gli uomini in serpenti. Per testarlo decide di somministrarlo al suo assistente David Blake che, inconsapevolmente, diventa la cavia per i suoi esperimenti. Dopo alcune iniezioni di veleno di cobra, spacciate come siero immunizzante, David comincia a manifestare i primi sintomi di una metamorfosi.
