La più bella serata della mia vita di un disinvolto uomo d'affari in Svizzera. Costretto a chiedere ospitalità in un castello fa la conoscenza con alcuni vecchi e bizzarri magistrati in pensione, i quali sono soliti riunirsi, dopo la caccia, alla tavola dell'ospitale proprietario a suo tempo anche lui famoso penalista. I simpatici “vecchietti”, eccitati dall'imprevisto arrivo del industriale romano, lo invitano a restare a cena e ad assumere, per quella sera, il ruolo dell'imputato.
