Vittima di un incidente automobilistico, Duncan Marsh, in stato di incoscienza, diventa cavia di due scienziati che gli inettano nel sangue un siero sperimentale. L'uomo subisce un'orrenda mutazione trasformandosi in un furioso licantropo e, fuggito dal laboratorio, segue con istinto animalesco una via di scampo attraverso le foreste. I due scienziati si mettono sulle tracce del mostro seguendo i cadaveri che lascia dietro di sé, tentando, invano, di catturarlo prima che intervenga la polizia.
