Lord Taro deve consegnare una cassa di denaro, ma viene rapinato dai briganti della banda di Jibu. In seguito uno di loro, Rokuro, ruba il malloppo allo stesso Jibu e, dopo aver incontrato e fatto amicizia con Taro, decide di restituirgli il maltolto. Però lo stesso Taro viene accusato ingiustamente da suo fratello di essere stato lui stesso a organizzare il furto: reagirà unendosi ai fuorilegge, incoraggiandoli a rubare ai nobili per distribuire il denaro ai poveri.
