L'ex agente dell'FBI Ray è ossessionato dall'omicidio della figlia della sua partner e grande amica Cobb. Marzin, il sospettato arrestato per l'omicidio, viene liberato a causa del suo ruolo chiave come informatore e dei discutibili mezzi usati per ottenere la sua confessione.
