Benché inseparabili, Avril e la madre Mado non potrebbero essere più diverse. La trentenne Avril è sposata, impiegata e ben organizzata, mentre la madre, da quando ha divorziato, vive in maniera spensierata e impertinente come un'eterna adolescente. Tuttavia, le due si ritrovano ad attendere un figlio nello stesso momento e, per di più, sotto lo stesso tetto.
