Percussionista sommo e band leader, Ray Barretto è sempre stato unassoluta autorità in fatto di latin jazz, incidendo anche al fianco di grandi colleghi come Tito Puente e di famosi jazzisti come Gene Ammons, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell: contribuì infatti ad aggiungere una forte tinta afrocaraibica a tante incisioni passate alla storia. Per celebrare il 50. anniversario della pubblicazione, torna in vinile per la prima volta, dal 1970! questo grande album, ripreso direttamente dai nastri originali da Kevin Gray di Cohearent Audio e restituito su vinile da 180 grammi presso il Memphis Record Pressing.
