Istant Brubeck (Harmony HS-11253) è una riedizione, con differente copertina, del celebre album Brubeck Time. Dal momento che le precedenti registrazioni del quartetto erano state registrate durante esibizioni dal vivo in club ed università, questo album può considerarsi una delle prime registrazioni in studio di Brubeck. In questo lbum, Brubeck è accompagnato da una delle prime formazioni del Quartet con Bob Bates al contrabbasso, Joe Dodge alla batteria e con limmancabile Paul Desmond al sax. Come bonus, questo LP in edizione da collezione Wax Time, contiene anche una versione dal vivo del brano Jeepers Creepers registrato al Birdland nel 1951.
