Tribute To The Lady era lomaggio di Sam, allepoca una delle stelle emergenti della musica soul, alla grande Billie Holiday che era morta quello stesso anno. Registrato alla fine del 1959, lalbum vede la partecipazione di unorchestra darchi diretta da Ren Hall e di diversi solisti ai fiati, tra cui Benny Carter, protagonista in Solitude. Da tempo non disponibile in vinile questo album stato rimasterizzato per questa nuova edizione che comprende anche 2 bonus tracks dello stesso periodo.
