Bluebird contiene alcune delle più eccezionali registrazioni in studio di Bird, tutte con il suo meraviglioso quintetto con il grande Miles Davis alla tromba e originariamente pubblicate dalle etichette Savoy e Verve. Sono incluse alcune delle migliori performance di Parker, tra cui la sua ultima sessione di quintetto con Miles Davis, in cui hanno suonato i primi quattro brani del lato A.
