Questo presenta lintero album originale Charlie Parker Plays Cole Porter (Verve MGV8007) nella sua interezza in una nuova edizione limitata su vinile colorato. Inteso come omaggio al compositore Cole Porter, lalbum segna uno dei primi tentativi di Norman Granz di presentare un songbook, precedendo i celebri LP che avrebbe realizzato con Ella Fitzgerald. Bird non vide mai il prodotto finale, poiché morì il 12 marzo 1955, prima della data di uscita dell'LP. In effetti, la seconda sessione dell'album sarebbe anche la sua ultima, sia dal vivo che in uno studio di registrazione.
