Litfiba 3
Litfiba 3 is the third album by LITFIBA, part of what is commonly known as the Trilogy of Power. Along with Desaparecido and 17 Re, these albums are considered among the most significant in the Italian music scene, thanks to their impactful sound that gave a remarkable and fundamental boost, masterfully blending sounds from the English new wave with the dreamy and Mediterranean soul of our musical culture, accompanied by vaguely exotic touches.
Litfiba 3 was meant to represent, in the band's intentions, an artistic turning point, but many things within the group had changed, especially in terms of inspiration: Ghigo Renzulli and Piero Pelù had begun to distance themselves from the initial dark and new wave roots to move closer to rock, while Gianni Maroccolo and Antonio Aiazzi continued along the old path.
Here, the lyrics are particularly focused on political themes, so much so that, initially, the album's title was supposed to be "Prisoners." The Trilogy of Power concludes with this album, which is the most explicit in terms of lyrics. Litfiba 3, while musically less passionate than the previous two albums, remains a must-have for fans of the group. It is the final gem that closes a beautiful and unrepeatable first phase of their career.
The success of this album crossed borders, and it was released in a vinyl and CD edition for the French market with a completely different cover.
For the FIRST TIME, THE VINYL is now being reissued with the ORIGINAL COVER with which it was released in FRANCE!
