BMG annuncia l'attesa ristampa del secondo vinile di Goldfrapp, BLACK CHERRY.Originariamente pubblicato nel 2003, BLACK CHERRY è fuori stampa da molti anni ed ora sarà disponibile in un vinile edizione limitata color porpora con la grafica originale (ad opera di Mat Maitland con le foto di Polly Borland).Lalbum riscosse grande successo entrando alla Top 20 delle classifiche nel Regno Unito e fu nominato ai Brit Award lanno successivo.Questo disco si discosta dal suono ambient del precedente album, incorporando del glam rock e synthpop.I singoli estrapolati sono Strict Machine che vinse il premio Ivor Novello Award, Train e Twist.Sulla copertina viene raffigurata Gwendoline Christie star di Game of Thrones e Star Wars.
