L\'omonimo 12 pollici di debutto dei Sonic Youth e stato registrato alla fine del 1981 al Radio City Music Hall di New York e pubblicato originariamente dall\'etichetta Neutral del compositore Glenn Branca. L\'album si basa vagamente sulle composizioni che il gruppo appena formato aveva eseguito durante la settimana di eventi del Noisefest di quell\'anno (e rimane l\'unico documento registrato di una prima formazione con l\'attore Richard Edson alla batteria).
